Elvis
A friend and I watched an Elvis impersonator last night at Saint Louis' Blueberry Hill. He was doing a window show. We stayed for a couple of numbers.
It was pretty cool. I guess I have mixed feelings about how great a person Elvis was, and why people worshipped him the way they did. I am one of the folks who read "Elvis and Me", by Priscilla Presley-- in which he, presumably, plies a young girl with uppers and sleeps around like crazy.
He had a lot of charisma, though. I suppose that was his strong point.
